We have been working to get the Society's office back to going every day. Volunteers are needed. You can do one-half day or an all-day shift. Volunteers are also needed for some of the Board offices for the upcoming year. On a personal note, I appreciate your thoughts, prayers and patience as I have navigated a very rough year. Two bouts of Cancer, side effects of such, Covid Pneumonia, you can get the picture now. This issue is late, but I think that everything is going to get back on track. As always, if you have pictures, information, or a story, feel free to get it to us. Please remember that dues for the calendar year 2022 are due at the first of the year. Individual dues are $25, family dues are $30. We also have life-time memberships available. Please see the inside back cover for more information. If you would, please consider updating your information for our membership list. We would appreciate updated addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and family of interest. Although the number of visitors is down, we have been able to help many people research their families. Unfortunately, we were not successful with trying to hold our regular meetings during this time. We have had two meetings this summer with very low attendance. Until our members are ready to get out again and attend meetings, we will put them on hold. This will also apply to our annual Christmas meeting. Hopefully, the new year will bring about good changes and we can get back together to do what we all love -genealogy! In the meantime, please support JCGS by keeping your membership current and come by the office when you can for a visit. There will be several vacancies on the slate of JCGS officers for 2023-2024. Those that I am aware of at this time are President, Treasurer, and Librarian. The future of our organization is at stake, so please step up and fill one of these vacancies or recommend someone who you think would be good in that position. In the meantime, we look forward to helping more people research their families. 81 Journeys Through Jackson 2022 Vol 3 JCGS Photo Album When attempting to help Bill Crawford with family research, you might be amazed at the information that you find. Sometimes, we find pictures. This Photo Album is all pictures that we have come across in doing research. Enjoy.
