The Society accepts no advertising for this publication except for notices from other non-profit groups. From the Editor Hopefully, the construction that has been going on at the Society's office will be finished soon. We have been open all this time, working around the men working. Come on down, we will be working to get the office back into shape. Feel free to come on down, plan a vacation trip to the Society. As always, if you would be interested in volunteering at the office for a day or half a day, contact Mary Buchanan Smith. We will be glad to have you. We have had a member suggest that we collect information about decorations, homecomings, and family reunions and post them here in Journeys. The first one ended in 1995. We are looking for people to go to their local cemetery and do an updated survey for the cemetery. We are not needing all the graves in the cemetery, just the ones from 1996 to present. We have forms here that you can obtain and use, or you can make a list. If you are interested in doing the survey for a cemetery, please contact the office and let them know, or contact Sanji Watson at sanjitwatson@gmail.com or (828) 331-0993.
