Head coach Danny Williamson, who is in his 21st season as head coach at WCU, defined ' the season as pretty productive. Williamson said, Our team had a lot of ups and downs throughout the season, but I thought we pulled through well. It seems that in everything WCU does from academics to the number of enrolling freshmen in to any and every sport, ASU is our competition trying to beat us out. We are somewhat disappointed yes, but not frustrated. College basketball is a very long season. We have a lot of games yet to play. During the 2010-2011 season, the Catamounts won both contests with the Mountaineers, but not without first mak- ing a huge splash. The Catamounts made the victory in Ramsey Center with a thrilling buzzer beater that fans still talk about today. Co-President of the Charlotte chapter of the Catamount Club, Jonathan Hubler, stated his favorite play out of all of Catamount sport history is that very play. Hunter is optimistic and confident in the Catamount basketball program. He said, If we stay together and continue to believe and stay the course with our system we will get our wins... We are improving each : game asa team. Although there are a few games before the Appalachian State game, Hunter said, I. know our guys will be excited to finally return home and to be play- ing ASU.
