THE OLD COURTHOUSE IN SYLVA The Domestic Violence Task Force, a multi-disciplinary committee comprised of Jackson County groups dealing with issues of domestic violence, wishes to invite you to join members of the community in celebrating recent positive steps which have been taken in our county regarding the issues of domestic violence. We will be gathering in an informational setting with booths staffed by groups that are helping our county reduce the number of incidents of violence. Many groups will also present information about how the aftermath of violence is being dealt with toward the goal of breaking the cycle of violence. Our gathering will be informal so that attendees can come for a few minutes, or the full hour and a half, pick up information that will be available and leave knowing that our county is doing its best to make sure that peace begin at home. Many area merchants have generously donated products and services which we will be given away as door prizes. We will close the celebration with a brief candlelight ceremony around 8:20p.m. Please let your fellow students, family, and friends know that all are welcome. If you have any questions, please contact Bob Clark at the District Attorneys Office at 586-7586. We hope that you will find time to join us on October 2 T st. {Stood fifaes befwejm friends.
