  • inicir Servo's Wresf ling Reporf I wish to start out by apologizing for not mentioning WCW Halloween Havoc last week in my report. With all the hoopla over WWF Judgment Day, I forgot all about it. I will say that Havoc wasn't as good as Judgment Day, but Havoc did have some very good matches and best of all...No Chucky. Scott Steiner changed the stipulations of his match with his brother, Rick, to a Tag Team Title match between Buff Bagwell and Rick Steiner against The Giant and Scott Steiner. J. J. Dillon accepted that match with a stipulation of his own: If the nWo lost, Rick and Scott would battle it out for fifteen minutes afterward. Even though Buff turned on Rick (big surprise there), Rick managed to win the titles, and beat his brother later on. Brett Hart defended the US Title against Sting later in the show. They were very evenly matched until Sting missed with a Stinger Splash, knocking himself unconscious on the ringpost. Hart capitalized with the Sharpshooter for the easy victory. Can we see if WCW can make Hart more of a heel? Warrior and Hogan was all the match most of us expected it to be. Hogan cheated, Hogan won. 'Nuff said. The highlight of the evening had to be the World Heavyweight Match between DDP and Goldberg. Even though Goldberg won the match, DDP proved that the undefeated champion is not invincible, just better. Nitro raised all hopes of being the night that Rick Flair would finally wrestle again. As Bischoff promised, Flair was seen wrestling. However, it was just a recording of the Hogan/Flair match back in 1994. Can you say Gyp? DDP defeated Brett Hart for the US Title, but as an answer to my previous question, yes, WCW can make more of a heel out of Hart. Hart went on a little tantrum after the match and tried to injure the leg of DDP until Goldberg came to the rescue. Rick Steiner picked Kenny Kaos to share the Tag Team Titles in the place of Bagwell and they successfully defended the titles against Stevie Ray and The Giant. WWF was insanely funny Monday night. Not only did Shane McMahon turn against his father Vince, he signed "Stone Cold" Steve Austin another contract which included a title shot. In a fury, Vince ordered Austin to fight Ken Shamrock in a no DQ, "I Quit" Match. Austin won by leveling Shamrock with a chair after McMahon's stooges (Brisco, Patterson, and Slaughter) beat up the referee. In other news, Motley Crue played their newest song "Wild Side" with DX.
