A reading expert will lecture in Asheville and Cullowhee next week under the sponsorship of the WCT' Visiting Scholars Program. Dr. 1 Idon Ekwall. professor at the University ol Icx.is al II PtSO, will speak at 7 p.m. Monday on "Diagnosis and Remediation of the Disabled Reader.'' His talk will be held in room 122 of Rhoades Science Building al I NC Asheville. I uesday at 4 p.m. he will repeat the talk in room 104 of WCU's Killian Building for the Jackson County Council of the International Reading Association and other interested persons. He will speak to WCL' students and faculty members Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Killian 104. His topic then will be remedial reading techniques. Dr. Ekwall is the author of four books on reading—"Locating and Correcting Reading Difficulties. resellers Handbook on Diagnosis and Remedial ion of the Disabled Reader," and "Psychological Factors in the I caching of reading." He holds the Ph.D. in reading from the University of Ui/ona. and has taught there, al New Mexico Highlands University and the University ot Kansas. He also has been I teacher, a school principal.
