I disagree with mam of the so-called "journalistic" practices you employ iii your so-called "newspaper," hut I am obliged to criticize you in print for a particular one. Vtt. the "Research Assistance" advertisements, from outfits called Educational Systems and Research Assistance, appearing recently in the Worsening I hose oulfits. and several others like them, sell term papers (despite claims to the contrary) to dummies who wormed themselves into institutions of higher learning. It is bad enough that these cheating aids exist and that students are all too well informed about them, but when a publication calling itself WCU's student newspaper blatantly advertises such cheating aids it can onlv be construed as a distasteful insult of this university 's faculty and diligent students. For the past two years editors of the student newspaper have seen fit not to publish such ads because they are in poor taste and definitely unbecoming to a publication endorsing the highest possible academic goals and requirements for its school. I know full well that running an ad is not an endorsement of the product, but merely a manner in which to make money. But these advertisements are fully a prostitution of the pages of the Can itllci ■ top r r admit in print that Parking problem Cullowhee has a defu le parking problem.
