  • Whereas God in His wisdom has visited our church by a painful dispen sation of His providence in removing from our midst our worthy and esteemed brother N. Edmonson who fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on 18th March 1868. Therefore Resolve That while we meekly bow to the mandate of Heaven, knowing that the great head of the church “Doeth all things well” we deeply feel our loss in as much as one our most useful and zealous members has been honorably discharged from duty here to join, as we trust the ranks of the sanctified above. Resolved: we _____ Resolved That we try to imitate the Christian virtues and zeal of our departed brother in our labors for the advancement of the redeemer’s king dom on Earth Resolved: That the clerk be instructed to spread these resolutions on the church book, and furnish a copy the the bereaved family of our bro to whom we extend our sincere sympathy and promise to ment tion them in our prayers that they may be able enabled to bear this severe trial with Christian fortitude and composure.
