but naturally they went up in smook [sic] along with the rest of my possessions. As a valentine Lucy sent me some bulbs that none of us & the flower girl in town could place. I said “I will leave them in the moss until I hear from Lucy.” But, Roy had two flower pots but no dirt. Without a word to me he took them to the flower shop & had them solid- ly planted in dirt. Then Lucy’s letter saying “Put them in a deep dish with the moss - keep them wet,
