  • Susie is doing well in Public School music altho [sic] to hear her talk she is all but on the verge of busting out. She is the only one of that opinion however. Must get at the washing. I have to get my work done the first of the week as the latter part I spend mostly at Red [Cross?] headquarters. I took the staff assistance course last fall before we were in it and am I glad! I’d be crazy just sticking around house. Tell Buddy I haven’t forgotten that his birthday is the day after Virginia’s. I hope he won’t have the pleasure of a call to the army. Damn Hitler. Any way. Love to all, Cornelia.
