  • MAP NO. CT-12 CARSON MESSER CEMETERY LOCATION: On Snake Branch, a tributary of Caldwell Fork, 0.6 mile off the Caldwell Fork Trail. This trail meets the Caldwell Fork Trail approximately Z\ miles off the Cataloochee Road. Just east of the E.M. Messer Tract No. 293. NO. OF GRAVES: 7 LAST BURIAL: Unknown DESCRIPTION: On Park Tract No. 200 condemned by State of North Carolina from Suncrest Lumber Company, conveyed to United States by State, 30 April 1934, recorded in Book 81, page 421. This deed contains 68 exceptions, none of them cemeteries. Cemetery is in fair condition and on Park inventory for minimum annual maintenance involving weed cutting. Maintained and fenced.
