Brie with raspberry and blueberry coulis and apple crisp By Ryan Fussell. WCnewsmagazine In key 19 with the holiday theme, here's something that you can serve as an appetizer or meal a any sitting, Feel free to use other fruits to make the coulis, but know to use ber.ies and berry combinations, as they are soft fruits and the juice is easier to extract. Hard fruits won't break down and will leave the coulis stif. This recipe is dependent on a coffee maker or high-powered microwave to work effectively. Be sure to wash all fruit. What You'll Ne ed: * Berries- Blue and Rasp. Wheel Sugar Procedure: a Upper-b of brie cheese Lime Juice Red and green sweet apples Graham crackers (crumbled) Cream cheese Cinnamon Aluminum foil Dice apples into % by % inch cubes ideally. Place berries together in a zip lock bag, push out all air, and mash berries into juice and pulp. Run % a cup of water through coffee maker with 1% to % cup of. ody strength is a valuable asset to have since this is an area that we use to manipulate objects and to perform many daily functions in life. We should keep in mind that Yoga will develop a flexible body, but it will also improve your strength, balance and agility. The forearm balance is a good example of a single posture that works all of these components. Strength is needed to hold the body inverted and off the ground. Flexibility in the spine is important here because of the back bending action in the lower lumbar. Agility is also necessary to jump up into the position, and finally, balance is obviously req xd to hold the position for an extended amount of time. The posture looks difficult to accomplish on the surface, but with practice you will be able to do it with ease and grace. This will help melt the sugar into the water, which is very important. 3. Incorporate the crushed berries and juice into the sugar water, and add about a % cup of lime juice to the coffee pot mixture. 4, Tum the warmer on and let sit for minutes or until thick, stiring regularly. 5. Pour the water into a container, and place in microwave for another minute. Remove and place in refrigerator. 6. To the apples, add desired cream cheese and % cup juice. 7. Place in microwave in sealed container, and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Remove, add graham cracker crumbs, and stir well. Add Cinnamon to taste and a little more lime juice to rehydrate. 8. Microwave again, stiring as needed. If desired, add a bit more cream cheese to add creaminess to the crisp, 9. Using the foil, form a packet to place the brie wheel. Place on heated burner of coffee pot for several minutes. Monitor to, desired melt for brie. If this does not suffice, place under cover in microwave for a controlled melt just the same. 10. Remove brie and place into its position. The crisp should be placed aside, warm. Remove the coulis from the fridge and our or spoon over brie, To perform the forearm balance, start by coming down to your hands and knees, Place your elbows directly under your shoulders and the palms flat on the floor. At this point, dig your toes under and straighten out your legs. Simply holding this position will be a good preparation for the full posture. If you feel like going further, then strengthen through your back and arms while you press firmly through the ground with your forearms. Fearlessly kick either leg up and follow it with the other leg until both legs fate up over your head. Stay strong through the arms and back, while simultaneously breathing with ease. Ifyou feel unsteady, you can practice against a wall until you are ready to try the pose without the support of the wall. Be Careful not to fall down on your head and, as always, have fun with your Yoga. Very soon you will reap the many benefits of regular practice. Namaste!
