  • Page 2 News September 16,1993 Western Carolinian Officersissuewarningsfor alcohol, indecent exposure September 8: A student reported that her parking decal was stolen from her car while the car was parked in front of Scott between 6:00pm on Monday and 11:00am on Wednesday. A student admitted damaging two cigarette urns near Hoey and Stillwell on September 3. The incident was referred to Student Development. At 2:15am, officers apprehended three male students and one male non- student who werestealingbicycle parts near Albright. All victims have not been identified as yet, and charges are pending. Officers also confiscated several stolen road signs from the suspects' rooms. At 2:20am, officers saw three females running from a car in the back of Scott into Walker Hall. Officers discovered that a car had been rolled with tissue. September 9: Officers investigated a traffic accident in front of Breese Gym at 1:58pm. Officers found a student in possession of a highway sign in violation of state law at 7:55pm. The sign was confiscated. September 10-12: Officers served a subpoena on a staff member in a civil case. A student reported a hit & run accident which occured in front of Walker at 2:00pm on Friday. Officers charged a student with hit & run and reckless driving after an accident on Bird Drive where the student's vehicle struck a rock wall on Friday at 10:05 pm. A student was referred to Student Development for disciplinary action, and two non-students were banned from campus after they were found to have vandalized barricades on Belk Drive at 11:18pm on Friday. Officers apprehended two suspicious male students who ran from police behind Albright/Benton at 11:55pm on Friday. Investigation is continuing. Officers cited a male student for an alcohol violation in front of Scott at 1:00am on Saturday. Officers issued warnings to four male students for alcohol violationsand indecent exposure in the Benton parking lot at 2:20am on Sunday. September 13: Officers identified the operator of a hit & run vehicle in an incident which occurred in front of Walker on September 10. A student reported a hit and run accident in the Watertower Lot which occurred between the 10th and 13th. A housekeeping employee reported the theft of three trash cans and a pencil sharpener from Moore which occurred between September lOand 13. A student reported that she was being harassed by another female student at 10pm. Officers issued a warning to a male student for careless and reckless driving on Central Drive at 10:40pm.
