Owen's father is going to escort her and she's "real excited about that." She said, "I couldn't believe I made it to the final court, it all happened so fast." Clothing Textiles Major Junior Kimberly Jean Rawlings "I'm real excited to be on the court." Kimberly said, "I enjoy having a good time." She's a sports fan, likes fraternities and especially parties. Kim says the best thing about Cullowhee is the people and says "I love you Cullowhee!" Home Ec. Major Senior Melisa Jane Saltz Mclisa is a busy girl. Besides being on the court, she will be the feature baton twirler. Melisa teaches baton to "34 little girls in Georgia," and really enjoys It. Melisa loves Cullowhee and says the people make the place. Her Cullowhee pasttimes include camping, four- wheeling, and modeling. "I'm looking forward to a great Homecoming this year. I just know it's going to be one of the best," she said. Interior Design Senior Pick the Seven WCU students have been elected to the 1979 WCU Homecoming Court, and will vie for the title of Homecoming Queen in a campuswide election to be held Thursday (Oct. 25). The winner will be crowned Saturday during halftime ceremonies at WCU's 1 p.m. football game against Lenoir-Rhyne College. All seven members of the court will take part in the homecoming parade at 10 a.m. Saturday. They are Leslie Ann Britton of Central Islip, N.Y.; Kimberly Dee Jenkins of Greenwood, S.C; Annette Johnson of Hendersonville; Gwen Ellen Kellough and Kimberly Jean Rawlings, both of Gastonia; Melissa Jane Saltz of Hayesville; and Emily Ann Sarella of Winston-Salem. The parade also will include participation by the WCU Marching Band and other marching bands from Sylva-Webster High School and Pisgah. A.C. Reynolds. Cherokee and Swain County high schools. There will be floats and flags, visiting cheerleaders, and the gondola and flight crew of the WLOS-TV hot air balloon, piloted by "Mr. Bill" Norwood. A color guard from the WCU ROTC unit also will take part. The parade route will extend from the Baptist Church
