Contact Student Financial Aid Office for further details. HIKE FOR HOPE Phi Mu Fraternity will be sponsoring the third annual Hike For Hope on Sunday, April 28, 1974. The Project Hope is the recipient of funds raised by this twenty-five mile hike. The route will begin at the I niver- sit) Center in CuUowhee and will end at the Municipal Parking lot in Cherokee. Due to a lack of funds Project Hope must carry on only land based operations for its medical missions. The S.S, Hope, now dry-docked in the United States, had been the sea going base of operations* All those wishing to participate in the hike should get a Hike Card from stations set up in the cafeterias or contact any Phi Mu. Participation in the Hike will be greatly- appreciated. The University Center Board will sponsor the 4th annual Sports Car Slalom on Wednesday, April 24th on the parking lot between the University Center and Forsyth. To participate, stop by the U.C.B, office, Room 1.30 at the University Center, anytime, A special class for lady drivers will be the featured addition this year. A Si.00 entry fee will be charged for a chance to compete for five trophies. The event begins at 5:30. Spectators are encouraged to attend this action- packed spectacle. Users of the parking lot are asked to co-operate with the Board by having the cars out of the parking area by 3:00 pm on April 24, Wednesday. Your co-operation will be greatly appreciated. Thursday, April 25, at 8:00 pm, the lniversit\ Center Board in conjunction with Saga Food Services will sponsor a Coffeehouse in the Top of the Stairs Restaurant. JIM DAVIDSON STUDENT BODY PRESIDENT THE CANDIDATE WITH IDEAS THE CANDIDATE WITH EXPERIENCE+CONCERN THE CANDIDATE WITH THE STUDENTS DANCE IN U.C, "The Outcasts", a soul group, will perform in the ln- iversity Center's Grandroom Saturday April 27 from 8 pm until 12 midnight. There is no admission charge. The dance is sponsored by the Ebony Students and the UCB. lambda Chi Alpha fraternity will hold its fourth annual raft race on Saturday, April 27, at two O'clock. The race will run from the steel bridge on River Road to the Lambda Chi house. A rope will be placed across the river above the dam and brothers will be there to assist entrants in getting their rafts out of the river above the dam and back in the water below the dam. Trophies will be awarded for first and second place in the men's, women's, and coed divisions. Entry fee is three dollars, and will be paid immediately before the race. Everyone is invited to enter, or to come out and watch. CONSUMER SERVICE CENTER Due to a change in personnel, the CSC will be in operation from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon every Wednesday , It will not be operated from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm every Tuesday and Thursday this quarter.
