C, — 5__ aims of the Association as well as what has already be§n accomplished by this organization. The Association Mhould not forget that in December of this year it. will again be necessary to send a Committee to Washington and that some provision at this time should be made for raising the necessary funds. As Secretary, T would call yoxir attention to the fact that most, of the funds already raised have been raised in Asheville, J^V While a few of the neighboring towns have expressed themselves as being greatly interested, with the exception cf Waynesville and Charlotte there has been no material assistance rendered. Knoxville especially has never taken this matter up and although the papers cf that city » contain frequest articles in favor of the Park and claims that Knoxville will be the natural gate to the same, they have thus far not responded to our appeal for financial assistance. A Committee from the Association shoxkLd be sent to that city to solicit subscriptions, Unpaid bills are now on hand to the amount of $198,90. Respectfully submitted, Secretary, A. N, P.
