  • TRACT HO. 310 - W. A. EARLY THE TITLE This is a small portion of old exception 125 In the deed R. D. Gilmer, Trustee and Administrator to the North Carolina Land. & Lumber Company. it is embraced within the bounds of state Grant Ho* 252, issued to John Cray Blount November 29th, 1796. Title to the lands embraced in Grant 252 became vested in Robert Love and James R. Love by a deed bearing dote December 20th, 1834, and became part of the lands known as The Love Speculation Lands. The said Loves or their executors and/or representatives, while ft owning these 3.ands sold and conveyed a large number of small tracts lying on Cataloochee Creek and Big Creek to Individual owners. These tracts were sold for the purpose of immediate settlement, the purchasers entered upon them, cleared and cultivated portions thereof and erected residences and other improvements usual under such occupancy. Among the tracts so sold and occupied was Tract No. 310 heretofore referred to. There is an unbroken registered chain of title under the above mentioned grant do?m to the present owner, W. A». Early. In addition thereto the said Early end those under whom he claims have been in the open adverse possession of this tract for sufficient period of time to have matured title under the Statutes of North Garolina* Inquiry in the neighborhood discloses that no other person has set up any claim to this tract. There are no valid outstanding liens or encumbrances.
