J., and Fort Meade, Md. Served in European Theatre. Citations or medals: European Theatre Campaign with 4 Service Stars, Good Conduct, and Combat Infantry Badge. Served with Co. F 15th Infantry 3rd Div., and took part in invasion of Anzio, Southern France and Germany. Disch.arged Oct. 21, 1945. A. S. (U.S.N.R.) DALTON WALLACE ROGERS, Cashiers, N. C, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris G. Rogers and husband of Eloise E. Zimmerman Rogers. Inducted Feb. 8, 1944. Trained at Navy V-12, Newberry College, Newberry, S. C, NROTC, Duke Universtiy, Durham, N. C, USNTC, Great Lakes, 111., U. S. Naval Hospital, Great Lakes, 111. Received medical discharge as result of injury, Oct. 9, 1945. PVT. VIRGLE A. ROGERS, Erastus, N. C, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Rogers and husband of Mary C. Rogers. Inducted Jan. 28, 1944. Trained at Camp Kolar, Calif. Served in Southwest Pacific Theatre. Discharged Apr. 28, 1945. S/SGT. WILLIAM EARL ROGERS, Cashiers, N. C, son of C. G. and Lena Rogers. Inducted in 11th Air Force July 25, 1941. Trained at Fort McPherson, Ga., New Orleans, La., DeRidder Air Base, DeRidder, La., Pope Field, N. C, Salt Lake City, Utah, Casper, Wye, Dyersburg, Tenn., and Kearns, Utah. Served in Western Pacific Theatre. Citations or medals: Unit Citation, American Defense, American Theatre, Asiatic-Pacific with 1 Bronze Service Star, Good Conduct, and Victory. Was in the 404th Heavy Bomb. Sgdn. on the Island of Shemya in the Aleutians. This was one of the sguadrons of the 28th Group which received extraordinary citations for meritorious achievements. Discharged Dec. 9, 1945. CHARLIE C. RUSSELL, Glenville, N. O, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Russell and husband of Lizzie Moody Russell. Inducted Nov. 24, 1943. Trained at Camp Shelby, Miss., and Fort Meade, Md. Served in European Theatre. Reed. EAMET Campaign with 3 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct, and Victory medals. Discharged Dec 7, 1945. S 1/c CHARLES H. RUSSELL, Sylva, N.
