  • Waynesville 12th March Dear Sir, Col Bryson returned some time since, and informed me that the money for the lands contracted for, from Beasely & Green, was deposited in the Bank of Cape Fear at Raleigh, and that I must draw for it. The country was in such confusion, and there being a scarcity of NC Treasury notes at the time he left, he could not wait to bring it. I have written for it to be sent to me by some means or other, and if the Yankees do not get possession of Raleigh & the neighborhood, and the many should not come, will go after it.
