  • and that, with her very sensible, lady- like behaviour, gives her many ad- mirers. Last week we bought for her a fine seal plush coat, and a new dress and a new hat; and she is greatly elated over it. However, she is not vain – at last not more so than even sensible girls of her age are. She is a close student , and takes great interest in mastering her studies; but she is thoroughly disgus ted with mathematical philosophy. But I must close. we all send love to Laura and the babe, Affectionately, I. L. Kephart P. S. Your mother says write soon, and give us some news, other than the genealogy of the Kepharts. How will the election go? The republicans seem very confident of success. I hope they will be disappointed. I. J. K.
