'Ibis trip of 50 miles, through the mountains from Bryson City to Deal's Gap, follows for a long distance the beautiful Little Tennessee River, and skirts the boundary of the National Park. On approaching Deal's Gap the motorist obtains many fine views of Lake Cheoah. The road leads, also, into the region of famed trout streams. The tour begins at Bryson City, on No. 288, and goes by Noland Creek bridge and Forney Creek bridge to Bushnell Depot at the junction of the Little Tennessee and Tuckaseegee Rivers. Then it passes by Hazel Creek and over Eagle Creek bridge, to Twenty Mile Creek and on to Deal's Gap where junction is made with North Carolina and Tennessee highways. Road Conditions: No. 288, Bryson City to Deal's Gap: Graded dirt road, narrow and crooked, and passable only in drv weather. 34
