This correspondence is concerned with the role of C. P. Ambler as a medical doctor. Ambler was long time secretary of the Appalachian National Park Association, an organization formed in 1899 for the purpose of promoting the idea of a national park in the eastern U.S. Chase P. Ambler (1865-1932) was a medical and founder of the Ambler Heights Sanitarium
