He is not fat; he is rubenesque. Joker was surren- dered to the Jackson County Animal Shelter with a large dog from the same household. Like many pets surren- dered to shelters, his owners were moving without him. His ca- nine friend was quickly adopted and Joker was rescued by the Catman2 Shelter, where he still lives and is waiting to find the perfect home. Unlike many de- clawed cats, Joker has no litter box aversion, but does need a larger box for his plump body. He gets along well with cat-savvy dogs and tolerates other cats but would prefer to be your main squeeze. Joker would be con- tent to lounge all day, alternating between keeping all laps in the home warm and eat- ing snacks. An ideal home for Joker would be a stable one with an . older person, couple or family without small, young children as Joker enjoys the peace- ful, quiet life. He would probably love another dog friend, but he is pretty serious about his lap-warming job so its not a deal breaker if someone isnt a dog person. Jokers adoption fee is $60 and he, like all cats adopted from Catman2, is neutered, feline leu- kemia negative, fully vaccinated and micro- chipped. Catman2 Shelter can be contacted at 828-293- 0892. Adoption applica- tions must be submit- ted online and can be found at www.catman2. org/adopt. Joker is free. Tuesday, April 19: WCU Baseball takes on UNC Asheville from 5-8 p.m. in Hennon Stadium.
