16 WESTERN CAROLINIAN SPORTS November 17,1999 MEN'S SWIM MEET will occur on Wednesday, November 17, for International, Fraternity Gold, Fraternity Purple, and Independent leagues from 7:30 - 9:30 pm in Reid swimming pool. Sign-ups will occur from 7:00-7:30 pm at the pool. List and order of swim events are as follows: 1. 25-yd Butterfly 2. 50-yd Backstroke 3. 100-yd Medley Relay (back, breast, fly, free) 4. 50-yd Freestyle 5. 50-yd Breaststroke 6. 100-yd Individual Medley (fly, back, breast, free) 7. 50-yd Inner Tube Relay 8. 200-yd Freestyle Relay *Male participants may swim a maximum of 150 yards, excluding Inner tube relay. WOMEN'S SWIM MEET will occur on Thursday, November 18, for sororities and independents from 7:30 - 9:30 pm. Sign-ups will occur from 7:00 - 7:30 pm at Reid swimming pool. The Western Carolinian is Western Carolina University's student-run newspaper. The paper was published as the Cullowhee Yodel from 1924 to 1931 before changing its name to The Western Carolinian in 1933.
