linian Servo's Wrestling Ref*rf After eating way too much turkey, sleeping in, and being completely bored in the of home town, it was good to sit down and watch some good wrasslin'. And, let me tell ya, it was good last week. If any of you watched The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. you saw "Hollywood" Hogan retire from wrestling to pursue his run for the presidency. Hogan claims his retirement is not a promotional stunt and will probably return to WCW one last time to say good-bye. Even though I don't see any chance in hell that Hogan will be our next president in 2000,1 do want to wish the legend good luck and good bye. For the first time in quite a few weeks, WCW actually rocked! Konnan defeated Chris Jericho for the TV Title in a huge upset and Brett Hart (with a lot of help from the Giant) defeated Diamond Dallas Paige for the US Title. According to several sources, look for DDP to take on Hart and the Giant in a tag team match with none other than "The Mailman" Karl Malone. Hey, Malone's not doing anything right now. Give the man a job! The new leader of the nWo Black and White, "Big Poppa 'Roid'" Scott Steiner challenged Scott Hall to find a tag team champion to face Steiner and Horrace. Scott wanted a singles match, but Kevin Nash came out and agreed to be Hall's partner. Ladies and gentlemen, "The Outsiders" are back and they took out the trash. I'm looking for a reunion of "The Outsiders" sometime after Nash's match with Goldberg at Starcade. I know ya want it. Fans everywhere belted out a simultaneous "Whooo!" when the WCW executive committee ordered Eric Bischoff to wrestle Rick Flair at Starcade! I'm waiting for Bischoff to try to get out of it somehow, but I do expect Eric to feel the wrath of the Horsemen December 27. I was so engulfed with all that WCW had to offer last Monday, that I almost forgot about WWF (I have got to get me another TV). But the parts I watched were interesting. Kane and Steve Austin took out the Undertaker and shoved Paul Bearer into a manhole outside the arena! After a long and hard Ladder Match, Mankind finally lost his Hardcore Title to the Big Boss Man (with a little help from The corporate Rock, of course). Here's another little rumor that I'm loolcing into. From what I hear, The Blue Blazer is Owen Hart. But when they're both in the same shot, B. B. is Jeff Jerrett. But in a few weeks, the mask will come off revealing the newest member of the WWF team: "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith! Looks like he's left WCW for "greener pastures". I have to admit, after some pretty lame plots (Austin almost being embalmed by the Undertaker, and the Bam Bam Bigelow angle with Goldberg) it was good to see some quality entertainment. Whew, I'm starting to sound like "The Movie Guy." Hope you all had a good break. I'm going to break into those leftovers. Later, all! Servo's quote of the week: "You can just go ahead and beep me! Bischoff, your nothing but an @$$hole!" Rick Flair calling out Eric Bischoff on Nitro. {sports ^ December 2,1998 13 Loolcing for a job for this summer?
