Double-header, cont from pp. 14 header), the defense was almost flawless. The only blemish on an otherwise perfect performance was Pritchard's boot of a ground ball in the first inning of the second game. Connolly (2B), Pritchard (SS), Eric Whitson (3B), Marc Strieker (IB) and Roy Hurst (C) all made great plays to help keep the Cats in the games. The outfield was not left out of the actioneither. With the score tied at 1-1 in the second game, two runners on base and one out, Jody Henson made what may be the catch of the year. Paul Galloway hit a sink- ingflyball to medium left-center thatHenson ran after at full speed and caught with a perfect dive and slide. He then got up and threw on to second base to complete a miraculous double play. The catch saved at least one run, maybe two, and led to a standing ovation from the Catamount fans in attendance. "When he hit it I took off after it," Henson said: "I dove; the ball hit my glove; I got up and made the throw to second." Head Coach Keith LeClair expressed satisfaction with the defense and pitching. "The pitching was good. The defense was outstanding," he stated after the game.
