Page 20 THE WESTERN CAROLINIAN/February 21, 1980 Innovation From Page 1. an opportunity to complete either a BSBA program in management or a BS in industrial supervision. To initially offer the program required WC I redesign the general education offerings of the university and create an equivalent group of new courses that could be delivered to meet the needs of the CORE students. The program proved to be quite cost effecth e since it made use of existing facilities and resources and required no special state or federal funding to develop or operate. All costs have been contained within the university's normal resource base or from fees paid by students in the program. ISO officers ) The International Student Organization in its recent meeting elected two new office bearers as follows: Vice President-Pat Chalmers Treasurer--Rajeev Menon These are in addition to Shamsher Beri and Desna Robinson, who are President and Secretary respective- ly- The organization this semester has several ambitious programs including sponsoring International Day in the last week of April 1980. The ISO essentially stands for promoting feelings of international understanding and friendship within the University and in the general community.
