After all the teams have played each other, the winning team will he picked by the one who hns won the highest percentage of rutin's, Much interest is shown in this tournament as every boy has a chance to show his ability in basketball. I'ro-pects for baseball this spring 'c »i-e best ever had at Western Carolina. With many good outstanding players from other colleges and high schools the Catamounts should p»t "ut a winning team this year. This is how it looks on paper. All-Campus Team Selected Ml r vi' wing the pa t i several points of vantage, we disregard the advice of several coaches. do ins. and dishwashers, and selected our all-campus team. In making our selection we tried to cover the entire campus, North, South. Fast, and West. We offer ppologies to any sec. tion left out. We encountered difficulty in choosing several of the players due to the fact that Co-eds are (lightly, sometimes being on the up nd i t and o that mythical eleven. Margrret McCracken was seclected for the position of Right Fscort due to her ability to take out Lenoir- Rhyne hoys. Clad in a scanty uni- foim she can clear the field for a '• nd to score is the purpose of this team. For Left Kscort we P eked Lilly Gill Butt. What for? We don't know, so we leave it up to Sou to guess. The Right-Misery poiii- thon goes to Mary Reece while Al Scurry gets the Lef:. Boy! did you he-e two gals block 'em out "when dancing before meal time. Come around to Moore Dorm dnd you might agree that either one could take a pigskin for a ride. For Center of Attraction we could select no other than Lib West. She is of the roving type. Ah yes, from one man to an. other. After some Haggling Bernita Sutton because our Full Shake. Anyone that can pitch horseshoes like she, certainly can back up her own line. For Left Halfshake, the dishwashers advised Edith Morgan on the grounds that she was not in school during the season. Ginger Roberts li nominated for Right Halfshake. We couldn't get along without one red-head on the team as someone said red-headi can make preachen do tricks. We shot an arrow into the sir and it returned with Slim Arring. tin's name on it with a note saying liiarter-shake should be able to see over a crowd." Now you know wjjy Slim made the team. The girls say they do not need a ii aa they never train, and then what's the use of being taken out of a perfectly grand game? We regret to say that not a single one of Coach Poindextei could qualify for this team. So let's give :• Cheer for the Nit-wits and wait until next year.
