Hayes, Prevard, N, C. gv dear "r, H eye St* I have this day received a letter from ?t, Prank Waldo, 56 Sheppard gt., Cambridge, Mass., stating th.it he is pi'ep-aring an article on the proposed Southern Appalachian National ^ark and desires photographs descriptive of the country under consideration. He particularly desires a photograph of a fern bed,' such as recently appeared in an issue of pictures and P~~r\cilings. This, I believe, is a photograph of the woods in your section, by Scaddin. If you con furnish a copy of this photograph or any others giving an idea of the mountains in your section (with a Short sketch of each as to location, etc.) the same will be greatly appreciated and till doubtless be to your interest. His article will appear in the dew England Magazine and he must have all th<? photographs by Jan. loth . The photographs raust be accompanied by a statement from the person having the plate that permission is given for publicat ion in the New tfngland Magazine.
