Please refer SOT My dear Sir: The United States George Washington Bicentennial Commission is now extending organization for the Celebration of the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the Birth of George Washington NEXT YEAR in the cities and towns of the United States, Knowing your patriotism and your appreciation of the educational and inspirational value of George Washington *s example as our greatest citizen, statesman, as well as a leader of men, we venture to count on your cooperation to secure enthusiastic recognition of this great historical event in your lodge. We, therefore, ask you to begin to formulate plans for the celebration of this Great Anniversary by a series of memorial programs by your Lodge, in order that the memory of Washington may be still more revered throughout our country. This Commission is organized to prepare plans, programs, and other material for use in these celebrations and to furnish this material to you without cost. This is necessarily a brief reference to a great undertaking, but you will gather the full import of this Celebration by reading the enclosed program clip sheet.
