Camp Woodfin ____ [NC ?] Asheville Dear Sisters & Bother Mearch the 17 / 65 After my love to you all I can inform you that I am in fine health at this time & havent any thing of interest to write you we have moved [?] several [?] _______ [? -- train, times] miles from asheville and hav built ____ [?] some cabbins I have One of the best in the command Sister Dorothy I am [?] very ______ [?] Sorry [?] that I could not stay with you and the Children but you know why it was I hope you will not think ______ [?, hard] of me I will try to do better the next time I come home I will Close for this time hopeing to hear from _____________________ [next two lines illegible] _____________________ [envelope].
