  • 3 (my, this stretching out. Cheer up-most done) I have a potbellied stove, such as country depots have, on which I can boil, broil & brew. A one burner oil stove helps out if necessary. There is electric light, running water & a toilet in the house. During cold weather I am using the big S. room & the small room off of it. In warm weather 7 bedrooms can be mustered up stairs! So come one, come all! The best of it is the royalties on your fathers books are paying for this home for me. I have already received in three years more than twice what MacMillan offered me for the copyrights. Sales have steadily gone up since they said the books were dead & I refused their offer. No one need bother with me, nor worry about me. If the royalties stop coming, I will have to come back on my children. We won’t cross that bridge yet. I haved [sic] put aside enough to bury me, unless some long illness should come. Roy is on the trail of several jobs. I don’t know what or where. They seemed very cheerful Thanks-g day. You must be tired out by now. I am! Lots of love all round at home & abroad Mama
