March 28, 1935. Dear Leonard, Apparently your efforts bore fruit as I understand that a letter from George is supposed to be going the rounds, altho it Nov. 11 1935 Dear Leonard We leave Wed. as early as we can get started. Don’t know but guess that the Terpennings are better than the Birds for a quick start. Mr Stearns writes that I can leave Baltimore at 6 P.M. & reach Asheville at 9:15 A.M. It is not at all probable that we can reach Baltimore by 6. Whatever time it is, I will go on to Washington. I would like to have a talk with you if possible. If not too late I will telephone you when I get to Wash. It seems desirable to get

In this letter of November 11, 1935, Laura Kephart writes her son, Leonard Kephart (1892-1988) regarding upcoming travel plans which include a trip to Washington D. C. where he lives. Laura includes two newspaper clippings. One regarding the new construction of a museum building in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the other regarding a memorial at her husband, Horace Kephart’s, gravesite in Bryson City.
