  • that Julia Follett died last Fall? She left something to Susie the Journal said. Lucy Fitch met Lucy Fernow on the street & told her that Susie’s mind was about gone; she does nothing much for herself, Lucy even combs her hair. She said “I am glad to do it she has been good to me for many years.” She stays & Mrs. Quick, whose mind was as alert as ever, is taken. So it goes. Why don’t you invent something to scatter sand in front of the auto back wheels’ the street cars used to have some such think. Hope you have been able to read this; darkness & hurry don’t make for legibility. Hope the good weather will bring you & such part of the family as can get away, up into these parts. We may & may not be in Masonville. No one can predict the next move. Lots of love to all. Mama
