[April 22, 1867] State of North Carolina Buncombe County Mr. William H. Thomas Sir; You are hereby notified that at the request of R B Johnston, made in accordance with the [illegible] of the ordinance of the Convention adopted 21st June AD 1866, I have transmitted to the Superior Court of Law for Buncombe County a certified copy of a [illegible] which appears on the docket of our Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions, recovered against you & J. F. Parks by said R. B. Johnston at April [illegible] AD 1859 for ($2535.00) Two Thousand Five Hundred & Thirty-Five Dollars together with the writ of fiere facias and venditioni exponas which have been [illegible] therein. The above mentioned Judgement is not dormant as appears by the Records of this Court Given under my hand and seal of office at office this 26th day of March AD 1867. L R Weaver Clerk
