Murphy N C. April 27th, 1882. Mer Terrell, Dear Sir: Enclosed you will find a summons. I hope you will get Mer. Wm. Johnston to accept service on the same at once and return to me. Please explain the matter as to our taking this cause; so that all will be satisfactory. If you can not get service on Mer. Wm. Johnston, please get Tom Johnston to accept service as his Agent. I understand he is acting in that capacity. (If you should fail to explain the matter, perhapse they would think something wrong.) Let me hear from you at once, Your friend L. E. Mauney P. S. I have not got to see our man as to the money matter as yet. L. E. M.
