On the 16th of April a Committee from the Appalachian National Park Association appeared before KMgXXXK the Agricultural Committee of the Senate in Washington and there explained the objects of their Association and their reasons for praying fo for recognization at the hands of the Government. Very little opposition was met before this Committee. In fact, such opposition as occurred was brought gorth by the Southern members being only from a technical point of view, they putting themselves on record as saying that they could not favor such a project unless the endorsement of the state wherein such a reservation might be established, was first secured.
