  • THE HARBiBjDOD BARK IN BITTER SERVICE A. E. WEAVER Chief Inspector, Nantahala AE. WEAVER began work with the W. M. Ritter Lumber Company handling lumber at the Lower Elk planing mill in May, 1906. In September of that year he was transferred to the Panther mill as tallyman, in which capacity he remained until August, 1907, when he was promoted to mill grader at Beaver. He graded on the mill until 1909, when he was transferred to Franklin, N. C. as an inspector. In September, 1910, he went to Mortimer, N. C where he remained until December, 1911, when he left the employ of the company and remained away until December, 1915, returning to the Maben (W. Va.) operation. Since coming back to the company he has served as inspector at Fitzpatrick, McClure, Hazel Creek and Fremont. On September 1, 1928, he was promoted to Chief Inspector at the Nantahala Mill, Rainbow Springs, N. C, where he has effected improvement in the grading. He is capable, industrious and loyal in his business relations and his genial temperament makes friends of those with whom he comes in contact. Wherever he has lived he has been a recognized force in the community for its welfare and happiness. Mr. Weaver was married to Miss Margaret Elizabeth Powell of Dillard, Georgia, June 12, 1912. One
