(DUTCH) ROTH NOVEMBER 3 and 4 GREGORY BALD EKANEETLEE GAP Those who have made either of these wonderful trips will want to mark their calendars right now and reserve this date for another trek along these trails of almost unmatched beauty. Those who have not made them have a treat in store. Saturday night will be spent at Oliver's Lodge in Cades Cove, with a camp fire and all the good times that go with such an occasion. Sunday morning those who desire to make the trip to Gregory Bald and return by the state line to Ekaneetlee Gap will want to get to Willie Myers' at the west end of Cades Cove early and get started. Those going only to Ekaneetlee Gap will go along later and meet the Gregory group at the gap, so that all may come back together. The trip to Ekaneetlee Gap leaves the Gregory trail after the third crossing of Ekaneetlee Creek, about a quarter of a mile from Myers. Here go through a fence to the left, pass through a field and take trail there. Follow trail iy2 miles to where it divides, but keep left. About 100 feet to the right may be seen one of the largest poplar trees in the mountains. For another mile the trail follows along the side of a ridge, making a "switch back" to 47
