  • DECISIONS OF THE UNITED STATES GEOGRAPHIC BOARD Will C. Barnes, Secretary, Library of Congress, Washington, D. C. The United States Geographic Board, on October 3, 1928, rendered the following decisions: October 3, 1928 Alvaro Obreg-on; city and port, in Tabasco, Mexico. So named in honor of Alvaro Obregon, assassinated president-elect of Mexico. (Not Frontera.) Change made by decree of state of Tabasco, July 25, 1928. Blair; mountain, White River National Forest, Garfield County, Colorado, in sec. 19, T. 3 S., R. 89 W. For the late James A. Blair, United States Forest Supervisor, accidentally killed, June 18, 1928, in the performance of official duty. (Not Bald nor Baldy.) Bingham.; cove, with narrow inlet, spreading to extreme width of 1 mile, but choked with islets, in lat. 58° 05', northwestern part of Yakobi Island, southeastern Alaska. Bing-ham; peak, 2,180 feet high, lat. 58° 01' 35", long. 136° 29' 51" northeast of Surge Bay, and 2 miles from west coast of Yakobi Island, southeastern Alaska. So named by field party, 1926, in charge of Sobieralski. Candle-wood; lake, Fairfield and Litchfield Counties, Conn., made by dam on Rocky River just above its mouth in Housatonic River. To commemorate the use of pitch pine wood, used in early days by the Indians and white settlers as candles and torches. Canyon; fork, Kootenai County, Idaho, the south fork of Nicholas, west bank Little North Fork Coeur d"Alene River, near lat. 47° 48', 18599—28 long. 116° 31'. (Not South Fork Canyon Creek.) Coolidge; mountain (Mount Coolidge), 6,000 feet elevation, Custer County, S. Dak., in sec. 35, T. 3 S., R. 6 E. So named in honor of President Calvin Coolidge, by concurrent resolution of South Dakota Legislature, approved July 1, 1927. (Not Lookout nor Sheep.) Coleharbor; town, on Soo Railroad, McLean County, N. Dak. For W. E. Cole, traveling freight agent on the Soo Line. (Not Coal Harbor.) Craig' Draw; creek, Uncompahgre National Forest, San Miguel County, Colo., in T. 45 N., R. 12 W. (Not Cottonwood.) Beer; passage, south coast Alaska Peninsula, Alaska, between Deer Island and Bold Cape, near long. 162° 17'. Revision of previous decision. See decisions 1923-1927. (Not Deer Island; passage.) Gauntlet; island, 500 yards long, 55 feet high, three-eighths mile east of Cape Cross, Yakobi Island, southeastern Alaska. So named on account of its shape. Grace Coolidg-e; creek, Custer County, S. Dak., rising in T. 3 S., R. 5 E. flowing northeast joining Battle Creek in southeast corner T. 2 S., R. 7 E., 2 miles southwest of Her- mosa. So named in honor of Mrs. Calvin Coolidge, by concurrent resolution of Legislature of South
