Harmon receives honors By Sarah Taylor Ryckman * WCnewsmagazine Clemsons Big Orange Bash proved to be a little rough for the Catamount Volleyball Team as they finished the September 2-3 tournament with a three game winless finale. However, despite the teams loss to Kentucky, Connecticut, and Clemson, Sophomore Meredith Harmon walked away with a Big Orange Bash All-Tournament Team honors for her role in the two day tournament. Harmon led her team with 25 kills and 2 blocks in the tournament. Senior Casey Davis named Conference Player of the Week | By Zachary Colburn * WCnewsmagazine Western Carolina midfielder, Casey Davis, was selected as the first Southern Conference Womens Soccer Player of the Week. The senior accumulated two goals, an assist and helped lead the Lady Catamounts to the 2005 Niagara Womens Classic tournament title. She is only two goals away from claiming a spot on Western's all-time top 10 list for career goals. Along with being named player of the week, she was also named to the All- Tournament Team for her performance on the defensive end of the field.
