  • bs 8 08/29 Officers assisted a Highway Patrol Trooper at the scene of a domestic disturbance involving two non-students. University Officers stood by until county officers arrived. Officers assisted the Cullowhee Fire Department at an accident on South Country Club Drive, where a tree had fallen on a worker. The worker was seriously injured. A medical helicopter was dispatched and landed on the intramural field. The victim was then airlifted to Mission St. Josephs Hospital in Asheville. 8/30 Officers received a report that a male student was harassing a female student through instant messaging. Officers contacted the male regarding the seriousness of the situation. The incident remains under investigation. Officers on patrol saw a student run onto the hood, front window, roof, back window and trunk of a car. Officers notified the owner of the car and referred the student to Judicial Affairs. The owner was told if the car was damaged the student could be charged. A student reported someone removed her parking sticker from her vehicles rear window. 9/1 Officers received a complaint from two people regarding state vehicles being in 15 minute loading zones for more than 15 minutes. . Astudent, charged in a string of breaking and entering of vehicles on campus, pled guilty to one count of felony breaking and entering. He was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $4,616.58 to the victims and serve two days in jail after which he will be on intensive probation. 9/2 Officers observed a student on skateboard on the sidewalk. Officers told him to stop and he refused. Another officer attempted to stop him and he refused again. Officer finally located him and explained the policy on skateboarding. The student did not agree with the policy and suggested that officers should look the other way. Student is referred to Judicial Affairs. A student ran down sideline and jumped into the kicker net. Student was removed from the game. The student is referred to Judicial Affairs. Officers responded to accident below Dixs Gap where a vehicle had went over the guardrail. Student had gotten out of vehicle and left the scene. Officers cleared when the Highway Patrol arrived. Officers assisted EMS with acallon underage _ consumption. Upon arrival, officers learned that student had ran when he found out the EMS was enroute. After searching, officers found the student on another hail. After EMS checked the student's vitals he refused to be transported to a medical facility. Student is - referred to Judicial Affairs. Officers, along with EMS, responded to a report of an unresponsive child at the Kneedler Day Care Center. The child was transported to Harris Regional Hospital for observation. 9/3 A female student and her brother (a former student) were involved in a drinking incident in a Central Dr. Hall room in which the brother threatened to kill some students. 9/4 Officers stopped four people on campus following a report that one of the persons had been creating a disturbance in the Buchanan Lot. There were three males and a female. They are not students and following an identification check it was learned the males had previous arrest records. They had also been drinking and were verbally abusive to officers. Officers banned them from campus. 9/5 A student reported she left her wallet on top of her auto. She then drove off and realized what happened when she arrived at an off campus business. In the meantime someone found the wallet in front of Stillwell and turned it into the police. Owner and wallet were reunited. Nothing was missing. A male student was arrested and charged with communicating threats, : resisting a public officer, possession of alcohol while underage and simple physical assault. 9/6 A parent was concerned because she had not heard from her daughter in several days. The student was located and called home. Anon-student male was banned from campus for stalking and frightening a student.There is a protective order against the male ordering him to stay away from the female student. The : ; dispute was resolved. oy 9/7 Officers found two vehicles wrapped in clear plastic material. 9/8 Officers were called to Scott Hall where there was in incident of shouting, arguing and possible physical assault. When officers arrived they found a female juvenile (non- student) and a male (non- student) arguing. A third party, a female student, was also involved. The juvenile was apparently a runaway.
