This week there's not much in way of news so I'm going to do a shortened version of my paper today and hope to get away with it... maybe some extras as well... hell if I know! Okay... on Nitro we saw the return of the great one, Roddy Piper, and his attitude was right alongside of him. He started off the show talking about how he's sick and tired of the way things are going in the nWo and WCW. He then proceeds to say that coming up at Spring Stampede, he's going to fight Hogan and Nash with the help of his friend... The Giant. The thing that gets me about this match is it's the first "bat match" in history. There will be a bat hung over the middle of the ring... first one to get to it gets to use it on his opponent. Pretty wild stuff there, kiddos! Piper then told us that he has set up a match between Nash and the Giant to be held later on that night. For his last judgment, he challenged Savage to a match for later that night. I could just hear the possibilities with this one folks! In matches last night, we had the capability of having a PPV on free live TV!!! In the matches that were held, Sting beat DDP (yes, you heard me right, DDP) to keep the heavyweight title. After the match, they both hugged and raised each other's arms out of show of respect. Also that night, the Jerichoholics were pleased as their man Chris Jericho beat Lenny Lane with the liontamer. The only disappointment of the night was in a match between Benoit and Booker T for the TV title. It was a no-decision after the allotted TV time ran out. In my opinion, it was a pure gyp! In the premier matches, Hogan and Nash decided to play naughty and so they made the match with the Giant a handicapped match. The Giant still prevailed after the nWo tried to run in, but was stopped by the Giant. In the last match, Piper and Savage wrestled to a no-contest when the nWo tried to interfere... but the thing about the match that made it interesting was that Liz got involved and raked Piper over the back, so to get her back... Piper planted a huge, wet kiss on her. A classic moment! Oh well... so much for a short column... this is Fish and this was the Wrap-Up!
