  • Fun In (And Around) Cullowhee So you say you re bored. So you say there's nothing to do in Cullowhee. Well, you re wrong. Look around you. These are beautiful mountains that we live in, and there's plenty to do. The Smoky Mountain and Blue Ridge Parkways offer some of the most fantastic- scenery in this part of the country. If you like water sports or just laying around in the sun, then Wolf, Bear, Cedar Cliff, and Thorpe lakes are for you. If maybe you like tubing, Deep Creek in Bryson City, Whitewater Falls just over the NC-SC border, or our own Tuckaseigee River may be for you. On a sweltering hot day, you just can't beat it. Many students prefer rock climbing and hiking. This area is rich in such places. Kayaking is the order of the day in the famed Nantahala Gorge. Some of the most competitive Whitewater competition in the Eastern United States takes place in the Gorge. So get out and do something. You don't know what you're missing. °V*-" 4
