This program is unique in the sense thai it provides alcohol information and alternatives to drinking in a positive, non-threatening manner. The WCU Student Development Awareness Committee is again sponsoring "The Great American Escape" on November 13, PINO. As many of vou know, lasl year's program was extremely successful with over 1.000 students and faculty in attendance. This year's program will be located in the upper level of Dodson Cafeteria. Centered around a carnival or activity theme, the program will have various tables and booths providing alcohol informal urn. Anv group or individual is invited to participate bj creating such a booth relating to alcohol and its impact on our lives. Vour support, participation, and contributions will enhance the success of this effort, Please icier lo the attached space reservation form for additional information. Thank you for vour interest in our program! "THE GREAT AMERICAN ESCAPE" SPACE RESERVATION GUIDELINES WCU is seeking to preseni the following objectives foi "ihe (ileal American Escape." 1. If vou choose to drink, drink responsibly . 2. There are alternatives to drinking. I. Accurate alcohol information is essential. 4. Each individual needs to make personal, informed choices. Example booths: 1. Legal breath analyzer to measure blood-alcohol concentration 2. Information on the problem drinker and the family 3. Information on how the body metabolizes alcohol 4. Educational materials (posiors. brochures, snack recipes) 5. Information on mixing alcohol with other substances (drugs) 6. Information on responsible drinking 7. Information on drinking and dri\ ing 8.
