This program is unique in the sense thai it provides alcohol information and alternatives to drinking in a positive, non-threatening manner. The WCU Student Development Awareness Committee is again sponsoring "The Great American Escape" on November 13, PINO. As many of vou know, lasl year's program was extremely successful with over 1.000 students and faculty in attendance. This year's program will be located in the upper level of Dodson Cafeteria. Centered around a carnival or activity theme, the program will have various tables and booths providing alcohol informal urn. Anv group or individual is invited to participate bj creating such a booth relating to alcohol and its impact on our lives. The Western Carolinian is Western Carolina University's student-run newspaper. The paper was published as the Cullowhee Yodel from 1924 to 1931 before changing its name to The Western Carolinian in 1933.
