The show will begin at 7:30 and will last approximately an hour and a half. "Indians" is a plav in which Buffalo Bill relives his life and tries to figure out what went wrong. It was written by Arthur Kopit and will be directed by Ms. Carolyn Rauch who has done extensive work in theatre herself. There will be eight shows instead of the usual six, including a matinee on Saturday. Even with this extension. Ms. Rauch says that a lot of interested people still will not get to see the show. So everyone is advised to get their tickets early. Stereo phonic sound will be used as a special effect in the 140 seat theatre which will be set in environmental style. Which means, the audience will be seated on stage, cushions, and on the floor. Three of the characters you will meet in Indians are: a Russian interpreter, a German actor, and a Mexican bartender. All of which will be played by one person - Steve Eller. Eller decided to get involved in acting and theatre because he has olentv of time for it as a hobby. He only lias a couple of plays in his background, but those of you who saw "Seed of Damnation" should remember Steve in the role of a Latin Priest. Eller says lie yets into character for "Indians" by fust thinking in character then he goes through his lines using all three of his accents and carefully eliminates the two not needed. He says the Mexican accent is the easiest one to do. but the Russian and German are a little harder because both are kind of gruntal type languages, Eller admitted it's hard trying to keep the accents through scenes. He admits it's a challenge as in remembering what movements and gestures to make on stage combined with remembering his lines for each character. Eller describes it as learning to breathe all over again. He says it must be done slower and deeper. In the role of the interpreter, Steve scurries around and runs errands for the Grand Duke. He is a servant type character. But when he must interpret the Duke's message to the people, Steve must take on the Kude's character thus, transforming himself into a master-type character. In the role of Grnther Hookman who is a 19th century German actor, Steve says he must be very stiff in movement and overgeturize alot. His third character is Poncho, a tough Mexican bartender. Poncho is a gready. mean villian. For this role. Steve must metamorphasize into a low-life sinister type character.
