The lot will replace the existing parking facility on that location and is expected to expand the existing 40 space lot to approximately 300 spaces. The cost of the project is close to $100,000, and it should be completed before the beginning of the 1978-79 academic year. According to Tom King, WCU maintenance supervisor, the new parking lot will be equiped with street lights and should provide adequate parking spaces to solve the commuter parking problem.
