  • PAGE 6 THE WESTERN CAROLINIAN THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, 1976 The epic 1920's movie "America," a silent, black-and-white film depicting Paul Revere's ride, the Battle of Bunker Hill, and other patriotic spectacles, will be shown Thursday (Jan. 15) at 7:30 p.m. in Forsyth Auditorium at Western Carolina University. Sponsored by the WCU Department of History, the showing is part of the Bicentennial observance. There will be no charge for admission. All education majors who plan to student teach the 1976-77 academic year must attend a meeting in Killian 104 on Tuesday, January 27, or Wednesday, January 28 at 5 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to make application for student teaching this summer and the 1976-77 academic year. A campus billiards tournament will be held in the UC, January 20-22. Entry fee is $1 per person. Two categories are men and women. A foosball tournament will be held Jan. 27-28 in the UC. There is an entry fee of $1. Registration for either tournament is at the UC information desk. Last date for registering for billiards tournament is January 16. Last registering date for foosball is Jan. 23. Phi Beta Lambda will have its monthly meeting on January 20, 1976 at 7 p.m. in Room 321 Forsyth. All members are encouraged to attend.
