Down and Out - Cullowhee - Ask About Our Credit System Personal appeals were heard from some students, and written requests for readmission along with recommendations from faculty members were read. Of the appealling students, one was approved without conditions, four were allowed to return spring quarter if they made a 2.3 QPR this quarter and reduced their academic load. Nine students were readmitted under a probationary per- iod in which they would be permitted no further appeals if suspended within the probation. The committee denied 36 ap- plications. One student was readmitted under special conditions for one quarter only. Five appeals were not considered because not all the let= ters of recommendation and appeal had been completed. Yesterday, the academic affairs office reported that none of the readmissions committee's decisions had been overturned by Dr. J, Stuart Wilson, vice chancellor for academic affairs. Zwi Kanar To Appear Tuesday Iraeli mime Zwi Kan ar '<:■ me t student of Marcel Mar- ceau, will perform April 2 at 8:15 p.m. in Hoey Auditorium, The artist currently on his seventh North American tour, makes his permanent home in Antwerp, Belgium. He is well known in the major capitals of Europe. Born in Poland, Kanar is a former inmate of the infamous Buchenwald concentration camp and of a displaced persons camp in Cyprus. His sketches include "Memories of Charlie Chaplin," "Aquarium," in which his hands become the many fish in tanks, and "Symphony Orchestra," in which he portrays members of an orchestra, each passionately In love with his own instrument. Kanar's performance is sponsored by the WCC Lectures, Concerts, and Exhibitions Committee. Admission is free to WCC students and LCE subscription series members, S2 for others, andSl for children.
